You buy a computer, and in a year or 6 months, its old news. And as time goes by the time is shortening between being out dated and new. Will there ever be a computer that lasts, and if so when and how.
I liken it to buying a car. When you buy a new car it loses half it's value when you drive it off the lot. You can improve it with newer high perfomance parts, but it is still the same age. After a while you will have to repair it. You can drive it for a number of years, but newer, more effiecient cars come out all the time. If you want the new features you have to buy the new car. Same thing goes for computers. You can keep one for several years, but if you want the latest features you have to buy the newer one. The lifecycle on computers is just a little shorter. What do you expect from something that is 1-5% the price of a car?
