Suzuki SV650s loosing power?
I have a 2005 Suzuki SV650s which has suddenly started loosing power while riding. I've noticed the instrumentation has also gone bananas, one second 90km/h the next 65km/h and so on. The head lights also dip when this happens, and on occasion she stalls. I replaced spark plugs about 2000km ago and she is right in the middle of her service interval. Anybody have any ideas??
Sounds like it might be something electrical. It sounds silly, but make sure your battery terminals are connected properly. If they're corroded, clean them off and goop some vaseline on them before you put everything back together.
If that doesn't do the trick, check the voltage regulator and work your way backwards through the electrical system making sure everything is functional and there are no shorts.
