Where can I get an automatic audio-only switcher?
You know how at large retail stores where the music is playing until someone goes on the intercom. I need something like that.
I need it to have TRS connectors, two for input and one output. What want it to do is switch to the primary imput upon loss of the secondary input automatically.
I want a cd player as the background but then I want a walkie talkie to take priortiy over the backgound whenever any body needs to communicate with me
The circuit that does that is called a "ducker" - it lowers one input (maybe background music) when another input (maybe a mic) gets a signal.
This feature is built into many commercial PA amplifiers. If you let me know what you are trying to do, maybe I could help out more.
